Located in Burbank, California The Castaway has been on my list for a while. Since the first time I heard about this restaurant when I was watching the Food Network. It was featured on the best all-you-can-eat buffets. This was many years ago. Since then they went through a complete remodel and I don’t think they have the brunch buffet anymore.

So I finally got the chance to come and eat here last year. I came here on a Sunday so they had a special of bottomless mimosas. I ordered the PINEAPPLE JALAPEÑO MIMOSA minus the Jalapeño. Then after I tried the LAVENDER ACTIVATED CHARCOAL LEMONADE MIMOSA. It had charcoal all around the rim. It was so good. When my sister had ordered it, it looked good so I had to order it and try it for myself.

I shared an appetizer with my sister. We ordered the CRAB CAKE which had Grilled Sweet Corn, Fresh Chives, Bell Pepper and side of Chipotle Aioli. It was ok. Crab cakes are a little hard to satisfy my pallet.

For lunch I ordered the DOUBLE PATTY SMASH BURGER, It came with Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese, their Secret Sauce, Caramelized Onions on a Brioche Bun. Instead of Garlic Fries I ordered  the waffle fries. Which was a good decision.

The service was great. I will definitely be coming back.
